Mobile Friendly Website Warning: You Could Lose Half of Your Website Traffic

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
Well Google just sent out something that our Research and Development Team passed over to us recently. This may significantly affect your website showing on a mobile site – and this is important for you – since you have competitors that may get your customers.Google published this official article.and announced:“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results.”

To see what Google thinks of your site – and thus, if it’s ready for these major changes – use Google’s Mobile Friendly Test link.

Just click on the link, enter your website in the box, and the analysis will be performed immediately.

At the end of the Google Mobile-Friendly Test:

  • You get a message  – “Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly.” – and you are good to go!
  • Or you get a message – “Not mobile-friendly” – and things may not be so good for you.

If your website comes up as not mobile-friendly, talk to your website designer/developer or you can contact our firm about converting it by the April 21, 2015 deadline. It is now clear that those business websites that are not optimized for mobile will appear lower in search results beginning April 21.

It has been noted that potential website traffic will decrease by 50% if you fail to make the necessary changes by this deadline.

This news may be good or bad for you – I have not checked your site with the Google tool noted above, but I want to give you correct advice or warning about your site so that you can be aware of it and make changes, if you would want to do so.

If you are unfamiliar with mobile-friendly websites, you can read about it here. Mobile-Friendly Website Information

The cost of converting your site to a mobile friendly website depends on your current site particulars – but the cost of not converting it – has just risen out the roof for you – (if your competitors now get the customers you used to get.)

Google rarely gives businesses an opportunity to protect their search ranking prior to one of their major updates. You now have fair warning, which I encourage you to heed.

Let us know if you want our help or a quote on this. We can do all the work required to convert your website to a mobile-friendly site.
